Greetings from wet Wisconsin! We’ve just returned from our first camping trip of the year. It was a rainy weekend, but we had lots of fun anyway!  We have a few photo highlights to share.  Click these links to download a video of the boys enjoying the playground (5 MB, Quick time) and a video of Benny doing a funny jog (5.2 MB)!

Stanley is proud of his first fish!  Kevin caught one too!

Luke stops to share a sweet smile. He lost his second tooth this weekend (but you can’t tell in this picture)!

Benny said his favorite things about camping were the campfires and the s’mores!!

Everyone is officially done with school for another year.  Kevin and Stanley both enjoyed a field trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum with their classes while Luke’s class went to a Kindergarten Fun Day at Kettle Morraine Lutheran High School. Stanley and Luke both got to attend Special Interest Day at their school where they were involved in a variety of activities including making crafts and edible goodies.  It’s easy to see that they had lots of chances to celebrate the completion of the the year.

Speaking of celebrations, Kevin and I both celerated birthdays this month. And, Kevin planned an extra special gift for my birthday – he preached in our church for the first time!!! We were all quite proud as he did a very good job. Since then, we’ve heard him preach 3 more times, and it gets better all the time!  Last weekend we traveled to Sugar Bush, WI where Kevin preached at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church. This is a very special congregation to us as they have “adopted” us. It was wonderful to worship with them. They even had a potluck lunch after church so that we could enjoy some special fellowship time. God has blessed us with Christian family everywhere we go!

We ask for your continued prayers for Sallie’s sister-in-law, Debbie, and her family and friends as her long battle with cancer is nearing its end.

Please come back next month for more news from the Drapers.
