Books we’ve enjoyed
Posted on January 27th, 2007 No commentsThought I’d share a few book titles that the Draper’s have “read” lately. We’ve actually listened to the audio version of these books and really enjoyed them!
- The Tale of Despereaux: Being the Story of a Mouse, a Princess, Some Soup, and a Spool of Thread – a Newbery winner
- The Princess Tales
- The Dragonslayers
- My Brother Sam is Dead – Historical fiction about the Revolutionary War – a Newbery honor book
- 1776 – Historical novel by David McCullough – The Draper boys are seriously interested in the Revolutionary War these days

January 2007 News
Posted on January 21st, 2007 No commentsWelcome back to a new year of the Draper’s Diary. We are off to a good start. We’ve enjoyed a trip to Sun Prairie to surprise our friends at Peace Lutheran by attending Bible class and church one Sunday morning. We’ve also had our best day of geocaching ever – finding 29 caches in one day at an “Event Cache” in Waukesha, WI. What fun!
The boys are all back in school. Kevin has completed his last two-week winterim and tomorrow starts his last semester of classes at Seminary. You might notice that we have added a Countdown link in the Draper’s Diary sidebar. 😉 These next four months promise to be busy!
A new project I have started is a Photo:365 photo gallery – a photo a day for a year. Check out the link for photos so far for this month.
That’s it for this news update. Please read on for lots of other items that were posted this month. We’ll close with a fun video of Luke as he attempts to be a one man band. Enjoy and come back again soon for more news from the Drapers. God’s blessings!

Our favorite things
Posted on January 12th, 2007 No commentsIf you know the Draper’s, you might know that two of our favorite things are geocaching and listening to fun, family-friendly podcasts. So, you can just imagine how happy were were to find Podcacher.com, a fun, family-friendly podcast all about geocaching. It’s done by a husband and wife team, Sonny and Sandy, who live in southern California.
Our geocaching team, geofish5, was mentioned on two recent Podcacher episodes. One mention is when Sonny and Sandy added our team signature button (pictured below) to the Podcacher Treasure Cache, giving us our first geocache “find” in California. The other is in celebration of our 100th cache find.

VERY silly Draper boys
Posted on January 1st, 2007 No commentsWe’re sharing this funny video in hopes it makes you smile. Our boys were being extra silly on Christmas Eve, singing a made-up song called the Cheese Cheese Song.
Warning: This video is rated SX – Silly Extreme!
