    I know that my Redeemer lives;
    What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
    He lives, he lives, who once was dead;
    He lives, my ever-living Head!

    He lives, all glory to his name!
    He lives, my Jesus, still the same.
    Oh, the sweet joy this sentence gives:

    “I know that my Redeemer lives!”

    CW 152:1,8

    Easter greetings from Wisconsin. We welcome you back to The Draper’s Diary, where spring is in full bloom. The joy of Easter embraces all of our days as we anxiously count down to the end of another semester and Kevin’s third year of studies for the pastoral ministry. We can’t believe how time has passed so quickly and we look back on what seems like a blur – leaving “home” with three young boys (ages 1, 3, and 5 at the the time), our treasured friends and church in New Ulm, our newest home and church family in Milwaukee, jobs, trips, challenges and lots and lots of study time for Kevin – and we are full of gratitude to our Lord and Savior for all the many blessings he gives us each day!

    Our Easter celebration was quite. Sallie was busy, singing with the choir in a total of 5 church services during Holy Week. Kevin and the boys enjoyed a long Spring Break, the entire week after Easter. It was a great chance for Kevin to catch up on school projects and relax a bit. He brought the boys to Mom’s work for lunch one day and another day took them to the local Children’s Museum. They had a great time.

    The photo above and one below are of our beautiful tulips. With no work on our part, we were surprised to see a multitude of flowers in our yard, strictly for our enjoyment this spring. Another note about photos: you may want to visit the homepage. There might be some folks you know pictured there. While you’re there, click on the “Community” link for an up close view.

    Lastly, we just had to share with you something from Luke’s school work. We hope you enjoy his drawing! Again we ask for your prayers for our sister-in-law, Debbie Byrd, and her family as she struggles with cancer.

    He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
