And a swinging man who really swings when you push him. And I have a construction Lego set that is cool that you can make into almost anything. And I have six books that are binded.

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is almost here! This semester has flown by and Kevin has only a few weeks of classes and a few major school projects left. We anticipate more each day Kevin’s vicar assignment for next school year. What does God have planned for us?? It’s hard to believe that we will know in a few short months – April 7, 2005!

This month we celebrated Ben’s 5th birthday. It’s hard to believe he was only a one-year-old when we left Texas for Kevin to start school. Now he is a big boy who loves pre-school. He is very good a puzzles (which his teacher says is a predictor of good reading) and loves games and books. He had what seemed like a month-long birthday celebration including two parties, two cakes and special snacks for pre-school. The grand finale of his birthday treats was his big gift from Mom and Dad, a Rescue Heroes Mountain Action Command Center. Here’s a silly movie clip (Quick Time, 4.9M) of Ben and his brothers playing with his new toy. We’ll close with a few photos from Ben’s birthday.

We prayer you all have a blessed Thanksgiving Day celebration and a year filled with Thanksgiving to our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • Today at school

The first thing I did at school was I turned in my lunch tickets. The last thing I did at school was I almost finished a racoon pop-up project. There was a big oval piece of paper for the head. There was two little ears that were gray. There were two big ovals that were black and they were for the eyes. There was one nose like piece of paper which I had to fold and glue in order to finish the project. There was one tounge which I did not put on yet.

  • School day

Posted on November 15th, 2004 Sallie No comments

At school we have a very busy day. In the morning when i get there I usually have papers. Then i have to wait it’s 8:15 a.m. Then we start our morning. We usually have morning routins first. Then we have Math teams (which is how many flash cards you can get in 1 minute. The team in first gets 2 stickers. The team in second gets one. At the end of the week the team with the most stickers over 4 gets a Math coupon for an “A”.). Then we have Bible history, other work, then recess. Then we have dirt time (when we read) and we then have an hour till lunch. When we’re done with lunch we have gym or recess. When we have gym we also have music with the 3rd grade teacher. Then we go back to class and we do a worksheet and get a drink. Then we wait till 2:30 p.m. Then when it is 3:00 p.m. we leave school.

    What I’m reading

I am reading “The Swordbearer” by John White. It is a good book. I think I read it for over an hour today. He also wrote “The Iron Scepter” and “The Tower of Geburah”. They take place in Anphropos. In the first two books they go through a TV. They are very exciting.

  • My second blog

Posted on November 9th, 2004 Sallie No comments

This is another blog. I am doing this late at night. I do not have a lot of time. This may be a one subject blog. My Mom said it would. So, it will be. I am glad the school day is over. Tuesday’s are one of the hardest days. I don’t know why. Is this one subject or can I do one more subject? Mom, please.

Science is with my student teacher. We are studying the human body. It is very interesting. Right now we are learning about the digestive system. We’ve already learned about the muscular system and the skeletal system. They too are interesting. Did you know that it takes 3 days for your food to go through the digestive system?

    Good Bye

  • My first blog

Posted on November 6th, 2004 Sallie No comments

This is my first blog. I am very excited! This is going to tell about my day. Some days it will be about books and some days it will be about things I did in school. Whatever it is, it may have a lot of different subjects in it. I don’t have a lot of time (except on Saturday and Sunday) so they may be short. I am having fun already!

Today we went to the YMCA. I had my gymnastics lesson. Then I played in the play area. It was fun! Then we went to Culvers for lunch. I had a hot dog and cookies and cream flavored ice cream. YUM! Once we got home we had a nap because we stayed up late last night. I also played Super Smash Brothers and did homework.

    The old and new president

The president is old and new. He is old because he’s been president already. He’s new because we just elected him. I think that is all I have to say about this subject.

I am in fourth grade. My teacher is great! My favorite thing in 4th grade is reading books! I am having fun at school.

I am saying goodbye so goodbye

    P.S. goodbye,the end

    P.P.S goodbye
