I went to the Seminary today. Dad agreed I could attend one class with him as a treat. It was fun. I learned about Martin Luther. Indulgences were not new at all when John Tetzel started selling them.

February 19, 2005 – Welcome back to the Draper’s Diary! This month we have rearranged our site a bit and added something new – DraperCAST! Here we hope to offer a weekly audio “podcast” or Internet radio show of sorts where we broadcast the latest news from our house. Check out the link for more information.

Time continues to fly by as we stay busy with many activities and events. Kevin preached in our church a few weeks ago. It was his first time in the pulpit in about 6 months. He did a great job and looks forward to the time when preaching is a regular experience and becomes more of the norm instead of the exception. Speaking of that, our excitement is building for Kevin’s vicar assignment. It’s hard to believe that we will find out in less than two months on April 7th! We are also looking forward to that date because Kevin’s parent’s are planning to be here with us then.

The boys all enjoyed Valentine’s parties at school, and we had a very special candlelight Valentine’s dinner, complete with a dozen red roses and a yummy cheesecake dessert to celebrate.

That’s all we have for this month. Come back again next month for more news and photos!

    Peace through Jesus!

  • My Valentines’s Party

Posted on February 12th, 2005 Sallie No comments

At school this week, we had fun at our Valentine’s party. I got lots of candy. I ate a lot. I gave a card to Mrs. Weber. I got a card from Shana. On it were three dogs and it said, “You’re Leader of the Pack, Valentine!” It was my favorite card.

After we were done, we had a science project and test. We are studying rocks, land, earth and water.

Tonight marks the first official posts of the DraperCAST, what we Wisconsin Draper’s hope will become our regular adventure in podcasting.

I’ve been enjoying several cool, family oriented MP3 sites:

So, I thought it was time that we started contributed to the open bandwidth of the podcasting world. I’m not sure what our regular broadcasting schedule will be. Stay tuned for that.

For now we will just get started. Happy listening!
